As a responsible retailer, we have met the requirements placed on us by financially supporting the national network of WEEE recycling centres established by local authorities. This is achieved through membership of the national Distributor Take-back scheme (DTS).

What is WEEE?

WEEE stands for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment. It refers to discarded electrical or electronic items that must be collected and recycled separately. The WEEE Directive (2012/19/EU) sets rules to ensure environmentally responsible treatment, recovery, and disposal of such waste across the UK and the EU.

Why Recycling WEEE Matters 

Electrical and electronic equipment should never be disposed of with regular household waste. These products may contain substances that are harmful to people and the environment if not treated properly. When WEEE is not recycled, it may end up in landfill or incineration, releasing hazardous chemicals and greenhouse gases. The Crossed-Out Wheelie Bin Symbol 

You will find the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin on all electrical and electronic equipment. 
This symbol reminds you that such items must not be disposed of with your regular household waste. Instead, they should be taken to an authorised collection facility for proper treatment, recycling, and recovery.
